Description

Five minutes may seem insignificant, but in a matter of seconds, we can go from laughter to sadness, from love to anger, from joy to frustration. Each image awakens a different emotion, and we barely have time to process it before moving on to the next. In this artwork, faces in different colors represent this succession of emotions we experience while scrolling. The faces fragment and intertwine across a broken screen, as if each one contained a small part of everything we feel. Five minutes turn into thirty, and when we finally look up, our attention has scattered, leaving behind a strange emptiness, as if we had felt too much without ever stopping to focus on anything. A reflection on our relationship with social media and how, amid so many stimuli, emotions, and other people's stories, we can end up momentarily losing focus and our connection with ourselves.
